The surroundings of Campo Santa Maria Formosa are characterized by an authentic and evocative atmosphere, typical of the lagoon city. Near the square, you will find various historic buildings and Venetian architecture, with frescoed facades and artistic details.
The church of Santa Maria Formosa dominates the square and is one of the main landmarks of the area. The church features Gothic and Baroque architecture, with richly decorated interiors. The streets branching off from the square lead to narrow streets and picturesque canals, offering the opportunity to explore hidden and authentic corners of Venice. Along the way, you can come across traditional shops, cozy cafes and restaurants offering Venetian cuisine.
You cannot miss visiting the “Querini Stampalia Foundation”, “Palazzo Grimani” and the enchanting and characteristic “Acqua Alta Bookshop”.
Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge are very close about 10 minutes walk The atmosphere of Campo Santa Maria Formosa can vary depending on the time of year. During Carnival, for example, the square could be animated by events and shows. Otherwise, you could simply enjoy the tranquility of the area, walking through the streets and enjoying the architecture and history that this part of Venice offers.
To reach the apartment from the airport we recommend taking the Alilaguna shuttle (Blue Line) to the Fondamente Nove stop from where you can reach the house with a short 10-minute walk. Alternatively, with a slightly longer but more scenic route, you can take the Orange Line to the Rialto stop. The cost of the ticket is €15 per person. For a faster route you can choose to take the ATVO bus (direct) to Piazzale Roma from where you then have to take Vaporetto no. 1 or 2 to the RIALTO stop. If you arrive at the station, we recommend taking vaporetto no. 1 or n. 2 to Rialto from where you can reach the apartment on foot in about 10 minutes. Finally, if you arrive by car you want to park in Venice – Piazzale Roma, you can then take Vaporetto no. 1 or n. 2 up to Rialto. If, on the other hand, you prefer to park at the Mestre station, you will then have to take a train to the Venezia Santa Lucia station, and then the Vaporetto no. 1 or n. 2.

Check-in & check-out
Check-in time is from 3pm to 8pm. After 8pm check-ins will be charged with an extra fee of 35€ to be paid at arrival.
SELF-CHECK-INS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Early check-in will be available starting from noon but please consider that the apartment could not be ready at that time Check-out time at 10.30 am.
In case of events of city wide , strikes or difficult weather conditions, check-in could be delayed.
